About Nagarkot Day Trip

Popularly known as the Nagarkot sunrise tour, the Kathmandu Nagarkot day tour takes you to the renowned hill station of the country located in the Bhaktapur district. Nagarkot village lies  32 km east of Kathmandu valley, it is around an hour's drive from Kathmandu. A day in Nagarkot tour shows the natural beauty of mountains from distance. One can enjoy the beautiful ‘Sunrise’ and ‘Sunset’ view from here. While on this tour you will have an opportunity to acquaint yourself with the new culture and lifestyle of Nepalese people living in the countryside. Before the unification of Modern Nepal, Nagarkot was a fort. It was situated in a strategic location from where the then kings used to monitor the external affairs of other kingdoms.

A visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Nagarkot hill station. Nagarkot day trip is approximately four to five hours day tour from Kathmandu valley depending on your walking pace. We will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, & Nagarkot hill tower, during our Nagarkot tour package day tour.

Day 1: Kathmandu Nagarkot tour with Bhaktapur Durbar Square Sightseeing

We will start our Nagarkot tour by taking a drive (1 hr)from Kathmandu to reach Bhaktapur. Start our tour of the world heritage site Bhaktapur Durbar Square, & sightseeing. 

Continue to drive to Nagarkot. Visit Nagarkot hill station tour and from there you will drive to Changu Narayan Temple and explore world heritage sites including the fascinating and unique Changu Narayan Temple dedicated to Lord Visnu. Drive back to Kathmandu after you enjoy the view.
