It is a place where Dalai Lama also resides.We will also visit to the three prime Gelugpa Monasteries of Tibet named- Drepung monastery, Sera Monastery and Ganden Monastery and also will get a chance to insight the religious Tibetean life.We are at a city which lies at the top of the world. Drepung Monastery is regarded as a largest monastery among so many of them. Chorten tombs of three Dalai Lamas reside at Drepung.

01Day

We arrive at Lhasa. It is a holy city of Tibet. Surrounded by mountains and Himalayas, it has a long history. You will be received by your guide. He will take you to hotel, which is a VIP Building of Yak Hotel.Take a rest & free day for acclimatization.

02Day

Potala Palace built in 7th century is the initial point of our tour. It was built by Tibetan king Songtzen Gampo. But the present palace was built by 5th Dalai Lama in 17th century. It is known as a ‘Winter Palace’ since 1750. 7th Dalai Lama built Norbulingka Park as his residence. After lunch we will visit to one of the three prime Gelug Monastries of Tibet which was established in 1419 by Jamchen Chojey, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples and then will visit to Jokhang Temple. It is located in old part of Lhasa. Ruler Songtzen Gampo built this temple in the mid-7th century. It is regarded as a holy place for Tibetan people. Devotees from all around Tibet come here for prayer. Right before getting back to the hotel,we will enjoy a local Tibetan tea in the local area.

03Day

Today we go to visit Drepung Monastery. The literal meaning of Drepung is ‘the hill of rice’. It is named as Drepung because the entire monastery looks like a big hill of rice in Tibet. The total area occupied by this monastery is 150,000 square meters consisting of 7700 Lamas and this is also famous as largest monastery in Asia. Later in the day we go to visit Norbulinka Park. 7th Dalai Lama built this palace in 1752 to carry out various political and religious activities. This place is famous among public for Picnic, sightseeing and entertainment purpose. We will walk around Barkhor Street which is situated at the heart of Lhasa encircled by Jokhang Temple. 

04Day

 Today you will be taken to the Airport for departure through flight or train.
