The Panch Pokhari of Solukhumbu is situated in the Makalu Barun National Park region's Mahakulung Rural Municipality. The Solukhumbu Panch Pokhari Trek is a recently established trekking route. The largest Panchpokhari in Nepal is at Solukhumbu, which is also the highest elevation in the country. The Nepal Tourism Board has ranked this Panch Pokhari as being in the top 9 of 100 brand-new tourist sites in Nepal.

The confluence of five holy lakes is known as Panch Pokahri in Solukhumbu. In Solukhumbu, the area is referred to as Panch Pokhari because it has five lovely lakes with various family names, including

  • Buwa Pokhari
  • Aama Pokhari
  • Chhora Pokhari
  • Buhari Pokhari
  • Ghothalo / Kamara Pokhari

The holy destination known as Panch Pokhari, or "Five Lakes," is a popular destination for both Hindus and Buddhists.

Panch Pokhari Solukhumbu is encircled by imposing Himalayan peaks, lush green valleys, and peaceful alpine meadows, with crystal clear lakes reflecting the sky above. Panch Pokhari Solukhumbu, located in the stunning Solukhumbu area, offers a special fusion of natural beauties, cultural richness, and adventurous experiences. The path offers a look into the region's real rural life as it passes past verdant forests, charming villages, terraced fields, and historic monasteries. During the Panch Pokhari Solukhumbu trip, visitors can observe the east Lower Solukhumbu valley and a number of mountains, including Numbur, Kusum Kangguru, Kangtega, Kyashar, and the Kanchenjunga range.

  • Wonderful mountain and landscape views when hiking.
  • Views of the Langtang Range, Dorje Lakpa, Phurbi Chhyachu, Madiya, Jugal Himal, and Rolwaling

  • Ethnic Culture and Lifestyle
  • Biggest & Main Panch Pokhari of Nepal

  • New Trekking Trails in Solukhumbu

The area is home to a number of historic monasteries and revered lakes, which provide a rich window into the spiritual activities and beliefs of the local populations. Meditation practices and seeing local devotees execute religious rites will certainly have a lasting impact on your soul. Therefore, hundreds of people come to the holy lakes and nearby temples on the days of Janai Purnima and Nag Panchami in the month of August to ask for blessings to fulfill their personal wishes.

On the road to Jungle Camp (Cholem), which is also referred to as a portion of Panch Pokhari, Phokte Pokhari is situated. Phokte Pokhari has a shape like a map of Nepal. To get to Panch Pokhari, we must traverse the Hurhure Pass (428 6m). Hurhure's elevation in altitude is 4286 m.

The most popular tourist attraction in Mahakulung Solukhumbu is the Khiraule Gumba / Monastery. The monastery was founded in 1738 and has the name Ngonga Thyakchhok Chholing. It's one of Nepal's oldest monasteries, and tourists like it for its captivating and distinctive exterior architecture. The monastery is thought to have been transferred from Darjeeling more than 200 years ago. It is bordered by large pine trees, which are uncommon in Nepal. Because it is believed that this monastery in eastern Nepal is where "Silent Meditation" (known as Nyungne in Sherpa and Moun Brat in Nepali) first originated, its cultural significance is highly respected.

The tenth day of the full moon in the month of "Dasami" is a special day when the villagers worship the Buddha by lighting a number of butter lamps. The villagers' essential practice of praying and performing puja at the monastery on "Dasami" (the tenth moon day) is a result. Certain areas of the Monastery were impacted by the earthquakes of 1934, 1989, and April 25, 2015. The monastery is currently being rebuilt once more by the locals.

During the Panch Pokhari Trek in Solukhumbu, you can view a wide variety of flora and animals, including the Rhododendron Forest, Bambo Forest, Alpine Forest, Red Panda, National Bird Dhafe Monal, and many other birds. It has a rich cultural past, a diverse geographic landscape, and the opportunity to experience the tranquillity of the Himalayan ecology. Panch Pokhari is typically entirely covered in snow.

A variety of lodging alternatives, from small guesthouses to tented camps, are offered along the hiking route to ensure that you have a comfortable and unforgettable experience. So why not prepare your belongings, lace on your boots, and set out on a journey that will provide you with lifelong memories? When you arrive, Panch Pokhari Solukhumbu is anxious to share its grandeur and mysteries with you. Don't pass up this incredible chance to unearth a hidden treasure. You are invited to Panch Pokhari Solukhumbu!

Additional Info

When to Visit Panch Pokhari at its Best

The ideal months are April through May and September through October. Therefore, during certain seasons, Nasimpati Pachpokhari hotels (which are more akin to tea houses and only provide basic Dal Bhat (rice) and blankets and beds for sleeping) are likely to provide food and shelter.

Panch Pokhari Communication
The NTC Tower functions efficiently in Bhotang. Only CDMA phones are functional in Chhimti and Deurali. Through CDMA in hotels and shops, you can communicate with family. The NTC tower also occasionally functions once you reach Deurali (after crossing the Suspension Bridge). You may also test it out on your phone. We can also have on and off networks to both NCELL and NTC sim in parts of the hills above Nasimpati.

Is the Panch Pokhari trip a camping or teahouse hike?
There aren't many tea places along the Panch Pokhari trekking trail. The likelihood of finding lodging is limited if we do not make a timely reservation. Thus, we must complete the Panch Pokhari camping expedition. Camping expeditions are the norm for hikers to Panch Pokhari.

Our group will set up each tent and prepare meals while we're out camping. We have cozy high-alpine tents that will shield you from the wind and chilly weather at high elevations. The team will also enjoy great meals prepared by our kitchen staff.

Panch Pokhari trek booking is currently open for 2022. Additionally, we've enabled early booking for the spring and fall 2023 Panch Pokhari trek. For further details, get in touch with us whenever.
