Peak Climbing in Nepal

Nepal is a top destination for mountaineers, offering a variety of adventures ranging from beginner-friendly trekking peaks to advanced technical climbs. The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) was established in 1978, leading to a surge in the popularity of peak climbing. Currently, 27 trekking peaks do not typically require prior technical skills, making them accessible yet challenging. Popular peaks such as Island Peak, Mera Peak, and Pisang Peak require permits and skilled guides, especially during the best seasons from March to May and September to November. For highly experienced climbers, Nepal also presents formidable challenges like Everest and Makalu.
