What to expect during the Everest luxury lodge trek?

Today, you have a full day in Kathmandu to explore some tourist sites and prepare for the trek. In the morning, one of our tour guides will take you to some famous historical monuments such as Monkey Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bouddhanath Stupa.

Start early and take a short flight to Lukla. If you are trekking in the spring or autumn season, there is a high chance you will take the flight from Ramechhap airport. It is located 5 hours away from Kathmandu. The mountain views during the flight are phenomenal.

From Lukla, you will trek to Phakding village. The trail descends along the Dudh Koshi river, crossing it numerous times on the way. You will walk through rhododendron forests and pass by small villages like Chepling and Ghat.

From Phakding, continue trekking to Namche Bazaar. The trail goes through dense forests of rhododendrons and crosses many hanging bridges, including the long Hillary Suspension Bridge. Before leaving Monjo, the permits are registered at the police checkpoint. The trail gradually ascends and gets steep towards the final climb to Namche Bazaar.

We will walk above the treeline from Dingboche onward. A steep track leads to Thukla. From here, ascend to Dughla Pass and continue trekking along the Khumbu Glacier to Lobuche village. Also, pass by memorial chortens on the way. The landscape changes to towering mountains, barren hills, and glaciers in this part of the route.
