Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek Route

The initial point for the Everest Base Camp trek is Lukla. It is at an air distance of around 30 minutes from the capital city, Kathmandu. Lukla airport is taken as one of the most surviving airstrips in the world and is an entry point to the Everest region. It was built by Sir Edmund Hillary. Lukla airport is also considered the world's most dangerous airport.

After reaching Lukla airport our next step is towards reaching Namche Bazaar, the trail is followed through Dudh Koshi.  It is situated at an altitude of 3,440m. Namche is considered a crucial trading destination among the people of the Khumbu Region. It is a place where local people gather in order to purchase their basic needs. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

On the very first day of your arrival you will be received by a representative of Regulus and he will transfer you to hotel. If you are not exhausted by your journey then you can roam around Thamel and have mini refreshment. Overnight in a hotel. 

    From the second day of your arrival starts our trip mission. Today you visit Kathmandu, also known as city of temples with our guide. Basically there are four major touring sites in Kathmandu. They are: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath Stupa and and Bouddhanath Stupa. And the main part is these all four sites are listed in World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will be introduced to your guide by Regulus. You can have good conversation with him regarding the upcoming trip. You can enjoy the night life of Thamel which completely depends on your wish. Overnight in Thamel. 

      We head towards Tribhuvan Domestic Airport in the dawn to catch our flight for Lukla. The air journey is about 30 minutes which seems short but very exciting. During your flight you can observe the beauty of mountains, hills, greenery and lakes. Just after landing in Lukla our trek begins for Phakding. Our guide will summarize you about the trip and we will take a porter with us. Travelling with the nature we arrive at Phakding where our day ends for today. 

        Today we trek towards Namche Bazaar through the route of Dudh Koshi. Our current destination is Monjo. To reach Monjo we cross rhododendron and pine forest. Monjo is an entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. Aftre rambling some distance we arrive at Namche Bazaar where will enjoy some moment with the locals. Overnight in Namche.

          Today is a day to have a rest. Just because it is day of acclimatization we do not stay quiet. We will come across to know the culture of Namche by exploring various places here. This day is necessary in order to adjust your body temperature so that you don’t fall sick during your trekking period. Today we will even visit Sagarmatha National Park.

            Today is a day to challenge your body. We climb upwards and move above Dudh Koshi River. Moving higher we get to see the path towards Tengboche. The way is bounded by other Himalayas as well. We encounter different wildlife on our way such as Danfe (national bird of Nepal) which is very common in this region. Now the track inclines downwards to Phunkitenga from Trashinga. It is time to have a lunch. We again go upwards crossing green forest to arrive at Tengboche. Tengboche looks extremely beautiful as it is mounted by hills and forests. We will spend our night here in Tengboche.

              We again get back to our track. We move towards Dingboche crossing beautiful rhododendron forests, White Mountains and cool environment. It might be the best walk of your life as the journey gives you extreme pleasure. Overnight at Dingboche.

                Again comes the day of acclimatization but we will go for short hiking. We will visit Dingboche Monastery and some small villages here. You get to encounter with the culture of this place and ofcourse you will meet Sherpa’s. The massive good looking view of of Mt. Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse, Tawache will make every tourist fall in love with this place.

                  Dugla is our next destination. We keep moving towards Khumbu Glacier. Walking with the view of Tawache and Choklaste takes you to Lobuche. Due to its geographical reason Lobuche is very cold. Overnight in Lobuche.

                    The day has finally arrived where your dream will come into existence. We move further towards Everest Base Camp (EBC). It is a ground place where mountaineers make themselves ready to climb the highest peak of the world, Mt. Everest, which measures 8,848. No words can describe the feeling of being here. It is really a majestic touch for making yourselves available here. In the noon we travel towards Gorakshep and spend our night.

                      Now we move towards Kalapatthar which is our immediate destination. You are in such a place where you are folded by mountains everywhere. Walking for some hours we arrive at Pheriche and break our day. Overnight in Pheriche.

                        While returning back we come across Tengboche now. The mountainous view really excites you well. We will explore Tengboche for some couple of hours. We again travel towards Namche Bazaar which is the ultimate destination for today. Overnight at Namche.

                          Today you need to cover a longer distance. But the landscapes will make you forget all your tiredness. You can be overwhelmed by visiting Lukla Bazaar. You can even buy a souvenir for your family and relatives here. Halt at Lukla.

                            Today is a day to get back to Kathmandu. We will catch a flight from Lukla. The air distance is about half an hour and you reach Kathmandu enjoying your glorious journey. You can even enjoy in Kathmandu for some time and roam around. In the evening the staff of Regulus will offer you a farewell dinner for successfully completing your trip.

                              Finally your Everest Base Camp Trekking bids a good bye here. A representative of Regulus will drop you to Airport few hours before your scheduled flight. See you again!
