Day 1: Arrival to Paro/Drive to Thimpu

You arrive at Paro through Druk Air. The pure and natural view of mountains during your flight fascinates you. The representative will pick you up from the airport and drives you to Thimpu, capital city of Bhutan. We roam around the city of Thimpu to experience its lifestyle and food. Overnight in Thimpu.

    Today we visit Thimpu valley. Then our visit extends towards Trashichhoe Dzong. Trashichhoe Dzong is a marvelous monastery built primitive time. Mostly government offices are held here. King’s throning room can also be seen here. Our nezt instant visiting site is National Library. The books encrypted in Buddhists text and scripts are kept here. Likewise, we even visit Traditional School of Arts and Crafts. Thanka, a popular painting can be found here being painted by art’s students. Heritage museum is our next destination. After our lunch we visit Handicrafts Emporium. Hand woven cloths are beautifully kept here for sale. Built in the memory of third King of Bhutan, Memorial Chorten is another destination to visit in Thimpu. He was also famous as Father of Modern Bhutan.

      We head towards Punakha after breakfast. It is a great ride to Dochula Pass. You get to see the spectacular view of peaks like Masagang (7,158m), Tsendagang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m ), Jejegangphugang (7,158 m ), Kangphugang (7,170 m ), Zongphugang (7, 060 m ), a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana - finally Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m. You get to see prayer flags, chorten, Mani walls and praing wheels which make you transcendent. Our upcoming destination on the way is Wangduephodrang. Dzong and local market is located here. This place is famous for bamboo products. We spend our night in Punakha.

        Our current destination is Paro. We visit Simtokha Dzong on the way. It is an oldest castle of Bhutan built on 1627 AD. Overnight in Paro.

          Paro is called the tourist capital of the country. We move forward to visit Taktsang Monastery. The monastery is built near the cave where Guru Rimpoche meditated. Taktsang Monastery was constructed in eighth century. After visiting the monastery we go to Kinchu temple. The temple was built by Tibetan emperor Shrangchong Gampo in seventh century. It is believed that demons created a scene while spreading Buddhism. In order to destroy the demon, he built 108 temples on her body. Another important site to visit is National Museum. You happen to enjoy the streets of Paro in the evening. We will spend a night in a hotel in Paro.
