Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel for the night. Take some time to rest and adjust to the time difference.

    In the morning, you will catch a short flight to Pokhara. From there, you will be driven to Kande, the starting point of the Mardi Himal Trek.

      On the first day of the trek, you will follow a well-marked trail that winds its way through forests and traditional villages. The trek starts slowly with a gentle ascent, before becoming steeper as you approach Australian Camp. The total trekking time is around one hour.

        On the second day of the trek, you will continue on a well-marked trail that leads you through stunning forests and traditional villages. The trek involves several steep ascents and descents, with the highlight being the breathtaking views of the Mardi Himal and the Annapurna range. The total trekking time is around six hours.

          On the final day of the trek, you will follow a challenging but rewarding trail that takes you to the base camp of Mardi Himal. The trek involves several steep ascents and descents, with the highlight being the stunning views of the Mardi Himal and the Annapurna range. The total trekking time is around seven hours. After reaching the base camp, you will retrace your steps back to Pothana for the night.

After reaching Siding, you will be driven back to Pokhara for the night.

                Packing List 

                For the Mardi Himal Trek, you will need basic hiking gear such as sturdy hiking shoes, pants, socks, warm jacket, t-shirts, long-sleeved shirt, sunscreen, backpack, flashlight, camera, spare batteries, toilet paper, quick-drying towel, warm hat, gloves, thermal underwear, sunglasses, and a sleeping bag. In the winter months (December-February), it is recommended to bring spikes or crampons, while in the summer months (June-August), a rain poncho or rain jacket may be necessary. No special equipment is required for this relatively easy trek in the Annapurna region.

                When Is The Best Time To Do This Trek?

                The Mardi Himal Trek can be done year-round, but the best times to go are typically considered to be during the spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) seasons. The winter months (December-February) can be very cold with heavy snow, while the summer months (June-August) are the monsoon season with frequent rain and cloudy weather.
