King Janak, from whom the name of the city is derived, was the king of Videha and Sita was his daughter. The much read and revered Hindu epic of Ramayana chronicles the life events of Janak and Sita. As such, Janakpur attracts huge number of Hindu devotees every year.

The highlight of the tour is certainly the imposing Janaki Mandir, the architecture of which is a combination of Rajput and Mughal styles. Day 03Fly to Janakpur - Overnight in JanakpurEarly morning flight to Janakpur (approx 30 mins) and visit the famous Janaki Mandir and places around the temple.
Day 04Fly back to Kathmandu - Overnight in KathmanduFly back to Kathmandu. Drive to Bhaktapur and visit some of the most frequented areas by tourists: Dattatreya Temple, Nyatapole Temple in and around Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
