The route of Ganesh Himal around the mountains is one of the legends of the most enjoyable trekking that is located in the central-eastern Nepal. Ganesh Himal Trek is also known as a trekking tour Tamang culture. The Ganesh Himal is named in tribute of the elephant-headed Hindu God 'Ganesh' (son of God Shiva & Parvati) og good fortune. Mount Ganesh Himal is a home to 4 peaks over 7000m which are Ganesh I or Yangra (7422m), Ganesh II (7118m), Salasungo (7043m) also known as Ganesh III and Pabil/Ganesh IV (7104m) and also includes fourteen other peaks over 6000m.
Ganesh Himal Trek is one of the legends "hidden valleys" of the Himalayas, protected by three levels pagoda set in a steep rocky cliff facing the pine forest and alpine meadows leading to a huge glacier below the snow-capped mountains.Throughout the trek to Ganesh Himal, you can witness the diverse cultural forms of life and get in touch with the rural population in small towns. Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Regulus Treks & Expedition receives you at Tribhunvan International Airport and drive you to hotel. If your arrival is at appropriate time then you can enjoy leisurely walk in the streets of Thamel. It is a prime destination for foreigners. It is said that Kathmandu visit is incomplete without strolling in this part of the city. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 02Kathmandu sightseeing From the second day of your arrival starts our trip mission. Today you explore Kathmandu, also known as city of temples with our guide. Basically there are four major touring sites in Kathmandu. They are: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath Stupa and and Bouddhanath Stupa. And the main part is these all four sites are listed in World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will be introduced to your guide by Regulus. You can have good conversation with him regarding the upcoming trip. You can enjoy the night life of Thamel which completely depends on your wish. Overnight in Thamel
Day 03Trek to Salangkhu Khola via Trishuli After breakfast we head towards Salangkhu Khola via Trishuli. We reach there by tourist bus or private vehicle. We go beautiful site enjoying local village, green vegetation and rivers. We stay overnight in Salangkhu Khola.
Day 04Trek to Balche Village After breakfast we head towards Balche village. It is easy trail with short climb. We arrive at Kalawale. Here we lunch and walk further to reach Balche where we put off at night. It is a Tamang village. Tamang are ethnic indigenous group of Nepal. They have their own language, culture and rituals. We halt here at night.
Day 05Trek to Ganga We cross forest. The magnificent view of Langtang Lirung will capture your heart. It is a beautiful walk of your life. We arrive at Ganga where we put off at night.
Day 06Hiking in the forest It is a blissful day of your life. You penetrate deep inside the rhododendron forests. The pasture land will fascinate you. Singla La Pass will fascinate you. The view of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Machhapuchare Peak, Annapurna South and Annapurna II are truly mesmerizing from Singla La Pass.
Day 07Trek to Serthung We follow flat trail followed by descend to arrive at Barang village. We cross Akhu Khola and this will bring us at Tamang village—Serthung. Here we set camp.
Day 08Trek to Laba-Mongeythanti Laba-Mongeythanti is our today’s last destination. It is a gentle climb from Serthung. After couple of hours of walk we arrive at Mongeythanti where we halt at night.
Day 09Trek to Dumchet Village It is a gradual downhill walk along the woods. We cross few streams and this will make your trip really beautiful. We arrive at Dumchet where we set up camp for night stay.
Day 10Trek to Budiganga Dumchet It is a simple walk. We arrive at Budiganga Dumchet by noon. Here we will explore local village and enjoy local culture. From here we can move to Baser. It is a beautiful spot.
Day 11Trek to Arughat Bazaar We will be walking for around five hours to arrive at Arughat Bazaar. We walk along river bank—Budigandaki. We will stay overnight at Arughat Bazaar.
Day 12Trek to Khanchowk It is a simple and interesting journey. The trail gains elevation gradually till we arrive at Khnchwk Danda. We pass Mukti Khola and set up camp here.
Day 13Trek to Gorkha We take uphillwalk towards Gorkha. It is a journey full of excitement. We will camp near Gorkha Durbar. It is an old palace of Shah Kings who ruled Nepal for more than 240 years. The palace used to be former kingdom of Nepal before King Prithvi Narayan Shah—founder of modern Nepal—established Kathmandu as new capital of the country around 240 years ago.
Day 14Drive to Kathmandu After breakfast we get on bus or hire private vehicle to Kathmandu. We follow Prithvi Highway to reach capital. Here you can purchase souvenirs for your friends and family. In the evening Regulus will offer farewell dinner. We put off at a hotel.
Day 15Departure to your country Your trekking ends here today. We will drop you at airport three hours earlier to schedule flight. We are thankful to you as you gave us opportunity to serve. See you soon!
