 Mt. Everest also known as ‘Sagarmatha’ in Nepal is situated in the eastern region. It is located at Solukhumbu district. Various peaks stretching from 3,300 to 8,848m above sea level, lies in Khumbu province. The Everest region is also popularly known as the Khumbu Region. Lukla is the starting point of the Everest region/Khumbu region trekking. Each trekker & climbers who are trekking to the Everest region firstly need to get a flight from Kathmandu airport to Lukla Airport.

All total there are more than 1600 peaks in Nepal and out of the 300 are located in Everest Region. That is why many prefer the Everest region trek.
