Royal Trek derived its name in early eighties when Prince Charles of Britain escorted by ninety Royal officials experienced this trekking trail. Due to this reason it got its name—Royal Trek.

The Annapurna Royal trek is one of the shortest and easiest treks of Nepal that shows you the beauty of Annapurna area. The trail gives glimpse of Nepalese society and its ethnic indigenous group. Their unique culture and lifestyle is fascinating.

The trail passes through Gurung villages and goes across terraced fields viewing snow-capped peaks above. Gurung are regarded as brave people in the world. Their bravery came in attention during Second World War while fighting in support to United Kingdom. Due to this reason British Government still believes in its Gorkha Regiment. Many Gurungs are honored by Victoria Cross (VC) so far.

Probably, due to this reason Prince Charles explored through this area. Besides, the unique culture of Gurung people and their lifestyle is appealing for many people across the world.

Furthermore, the appealing peaks of Annapurna Range, Mt. Machapuchhre [Fishtail] and Langtang Himalayas add joy in the trek. It is a single destination from where one can enjoy the beauty of snow-capped peaks just from 1730m altitude.
