  • Stay in ancient villages, the most basic tea houses that have seen little change over the centuries
  • Exhilarate great views of Annapurna II, Himlung Himal, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak
  • Experience a part of the Tibetan plateau that extends down into Nepal
  • Witness a Tibetan-derived culture, with unique and colorful prayer stones and monasteries

Nar Phu Valley is one of the restricted areas of Nepal that lies in Manang district. Nar & Phu are two different villages situated just the North of Annapurna Circuit. Trekking in Nar Phu valley was restricted; a hidden Tibetan valley was opened since 2002 for the visitors. Being a restricted area Nar Phu valley treks require a special trekking permit for the trekkers but not needed the TIMS card (Trekkers Information Management System) which can be obtained only from the local trekking agencies in Nepal. Travelling alone to Nar Phu is also prohibited; an experienced trekking license holder guide is a must with the trekkers travelling to Nar Phu valley.

Nar Phu valley trek starts from Koto (2600m) which is near Chame  & exits from high Kangla Pass (5322m) to Ngawal(3650m). The trek to Nar Phu starts with a long drive of 8/9 hrs. starting from Kathmandu to Bagarchhap via Besisahar.

Both tea house & camping trek to Nar Phu is available. The lodges & tea houses here are very basic as being a most remote area the accommodation is very basic with Nepalese food available. The people here in Nar Phu village speak a secret language to amaze Gyasumdo and Manang who would otherwise understand them.
