Annapurna Circuit Trekking familiarizes you with various part of Annapurna region. It is an overall trekking array that leads you to Poon hill, Jomsom, Muktinath, Thorang La Pass and other different places.

Regulus has designed Annapurna Circuit Trekking in such manner that you may get the essence of entire Annapurna Region in just 23 days. It is a kind of tailor made itinerary which will introduce you with countryside Nepal from all possible manners.

While on trek you will get mesmerizing view of snow-capped peaks above, waterfalls, old bridges, winding river underneath and many more. The Annapurna Circuit trek also unfolds cultural perspective of Nepal. The different traditions and culture sighted at Muktinath is awe-inspiring. It (Muktianth) is common holy shrine of Hindu and Buddhist.

Many pilgrims from around the world pave their way to Muktinath especially, Hindu and Buddhist. It is a place where Lord Vishnu is worshipped following Buddisht rituals.

At least nine peaks stretching from 6000 to 8000 m from sea level is covered by Annapurna circuit trekking. You can enjoy these sites in a single trekking.  Annapurna I to IV, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Manaslu, Gangapurna and Tilicho Lake are the names of mountains that you will encounter.

The total length of Annapurna Circuit is 160 to 230 kilometers varying on the use of vehicle and completion of trekking route. You can reach upto the height of 5,416 at Thorang La Pass. Thorang La Pass is located in Manang district.

The beginning point of Annapurna Circuit Trekking is Besisahar and it goes through Thorang La Pass. After driving for six hours from Kathmandu we reach to Besisahar. The green hills, rivers, waterfalls and exciting road way make your trip awesome.  On the lower part of Annapurna people following Hinduism are seen whereas on the upper region Buddhist people are encountered.

There are various other tourist destinations but Muktinath attracts many tourists. It is a sacred place for both the religion- Hindu and Buddhist. Muktoinath is situated at a height of 3,800 m from the sea level. There is a common belief that worshipping here makes you free from the cycle of birth and death.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Regulus Treks & Expedition receives you at Tribhunvan International Airport and drive you to hotel. If your arrival is at appropriate time then you can enjoy leisurely walk in the streets of Thamel. It is a prime destination for foreigners. It is said that Kathmandu visit is incomplete without strolling in this part of the city. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 02Kathmandu sightseeing From the second day of your arrival starts our trip mission. Today you visit Kathmandu, also known as city of temples with our guide. Basically there are four major touring sites in Kathmandu. They are: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath Stupa and and Bouddhanath Stupa. And the main part is these all four sites are listed in World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will be introduced to your guide by Regulus. You can have good conversation with him regarding the upcoming trip. You can enjoy the night life of Thamel which completely depends on your wish. Overnight in Thamel

Day 03Drive to Besishahar (823m) A six hour drive from Kathmandu will take you to besisahar. You will either go in a private vehicle or a tourist bus. Besisahar is the preliminary point of Annapurna Circuit Trekking. On your way the glorious view of Trishuli River, waterfalls, green hills and exciting road way will mesmerize you.Overnight in Besisahar.

Day 04Besishahar to Bahundanda (1430m) Keeping an eye on the route of Marshyangdi River we reach Bahundada. The meaning of Bahundada is Brahmin Hill. The route attracts you throughout your journey. Overnight in Bahundada.

Day 05Bahundanda to Chamje (1560m) To reach Chamje from Bahundada we need to go through a suspension bridge. As you move further to Chamje you can see the variation in culture, religion of people as well as the sculptures of their houses. Overnight in Chamje

Day 06Chamje to Bagarchhap Now we enter into Manang district. It is also known as the dry district of Nepal. Bagarchhap lies in this district. The English meaning of Bagarchhap means butcher’s place. Flat roofed houses are found in this area. Overnight in Bagarchhap.

Day 07Bagarchap to Chame (2725m)The path to reach Chame from Bagarchhap is slightly tough. We need to pass through a graveled and steep route. We come across a forest and river to Tyanja. We can observe a striking view of Annapurna II from Chame. Overnight in Chame.

Day 08Chame to Pisang (3100m) We enter to Pisang through a narrow valley. Even though the walk is difficult but it is not that problematic. Now as we move further we can see the surface of Paungda-dada. Overnight in Pisang.

Day 09Pisang to Manang (3500m) The route we follow today is to Manang district. The tower of Annapurna range blocks monsoon here. So, this region observes a very least rainfall. Most of the people indulge themselves in trading here. From pisang the instant destination is Mungji. From mungji the route goes further to Bryanga. It is also known as a hidden village to some extent. Passing through this village we reach Manang which lies at 3,500 m from sea level.

Day 10Manang - Acclimatization day Today is a day to have a rest. We can sightsee some beautiful lakes, caves, monasteries and also have a good conversation with the local people.

Day 11Manang to Ledar Leaving Manang back we go further to Thorang La Pass. We move through a hill followed by Jarsang Khola to reach Ledar. We can see a Snow Leopard which is listed as an endangered species of world. Ledar is a place where we will end our day for today.

Day 12Ledar to Phedi (4420m) or High camp In the beginning it is a simple trace but after few minutes we need to climb a hill to reach Phedi. Newly built lodging houses are found in high camp. Unless you have an altitude problem the distance between Phedi and High Camp is not that long. Overnight either in Phedi or High Camp.

Day 13Phedi or High Camp to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft) From Phedi we go directly to Muktinath. It lies at a height of 5,416 m from sea level. We visit muktinath temple and also observe the culture of both Hindu and Buddhist people. Muktinath is regarded as holy shrine for both hindu and Buddhist. People mostly from Nepal and India come to worship here. We spend our night at Ranipauwa which is just at a distance of 15 minutes from Muktinath.

Day 14Muktinath to Jomson Concluding the visit of Muktinath now we get back to Jomsom. The trail of returning will leave you over-whelming. You will cherish the moment of trekking forever.

Day 15Jomson to Kalopani (2,530 m/8,300 ft) via Marpha (2,670m/8,760ft)The immediate destination from Jomsom while getting back is Marpha. You can taste a local apple juice which is known as marpha juice here. Small and beautiful houses are built here. Following the route of Kali Gandaki we arrive at Tukuche. Thakali people take this place as center of their trading. After walking for a while we reach at Kalopani to spend our night. The view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri are beautifully captured.

Day 16Trek to Tatopani (1,200m/3,937ft) Tatopani is famous for waterfall. The English meaning of tatopani is hot water. We reach to tatopani by crossing a bridge.

Day 17Rest day at Tatopani Today is a day of rest. You can explore the local area and be familiar with local people and their culture. You can enjoy the hot spring to get relaxed.

Day 18Trek to Ghorepani (2,850m/9,350ft) After having a good rest a day before, today we climb for a whole day. Moving through the beautiful forest accompanied by red rhododendron (national flower of Nepal) we arrive at Ghorepani. This place is best for sunset view. We spend a night here.

Day 19Hiking to Poon hill, Trek to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft)Today we go for a hiking to Poon Hill. For this you need to get up early in the morning. Poon Hill is a hill station which is renowned worldwide for its sunrise/sunset view. The sunrise view will forever stick to your eyes and heart. It looks magnificent. After spending a couple of hours in Poon Hill we get back to Ghorepani. Here we will have a breakfast and continue our trail to Tadapani.

Day 20Trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft)Ghandruk is a place where majority of Gurung people resides. Gurung people are mostly known as army man. You can visit Gurung museum here and know briefly about the history, culture and lifestyle of Gurung people. While moving towards Ghandruk you encounter some beautiful rhododendron and Orchid forests. You will enjoy the electrifying view of Annapurna and a short snap of Lamjung Himal and Manaslu.

Day 21Ghandruk to Nayapul / Drive to Pokhara (850m/2,789ft) Now you follow an easy route to Nayapul from Ghandruk. You can reach Nayapul within 5 hours from Ghandruk. Then we will get back to pokhara on a vehicle. Today you can roam around Pokhara. You can walk through lakeside, visit different caves and other different sites. Pokhara is such a place where you want to come time and again. It is center of attraction for every tourist. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 22Drive back to Kathmandu After having a breakfast, leaving all the beautiful memories behind, now we get back to Kathmandu on a motor. The staff of Regulus will accompany you in the evening and offer you a farewell dinner for positively undertaking the trip.

Day 23Back to your destination Your Jomsom Trekking final bids a goodbye here. A representative of Regulus will drop you to the airport three hours before your arranged flight to help you reach your destination. See you again!
