Both the sites—Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square—are UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites. Both the cities are popular for Newari culture, traditions and art and architectures.
Like Kathmandu, both the cities grew and flourished during Malla Dynasty as an independent state. The Durbar Square premises of both the places still depict a picture of ancient Nepal.
Our day tour begins from Patan. It is a place where two prominent religions, Hindu and Buddhist, and its culture grew since old age. It is popular for its Newar culture and art and architecture. The city attained its peak in Malla Dynasty.
Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site is the place of our observation. The palace is unique and its architecture is the mark of excellence of Nepalese architectures. Krishna Temple is another must observe site. The stone carvings of the temple portraying Mahabaharat and Ramayan age astonish you. Patan is also famous for its Newari food which is full of spices and flavors.
Bhaktapur is our next site of visit. Here you will enjoy pure Newar based culture and architect around 400 years. The palace named 55-Windows, Golden Gate and Nyatapole temple are the main place to see here. The architecture of 55-windows palace and Golden Gate will surprise you. It is really beautiful. Bhaktapur is famous for yoghurt (Ju-ju dhau). It is popular all over Nepal.
Here ends our Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square day tour and we will drop you at the mentioned place. We are sure that you are satisfied with this trip. See you soon!
