Kathmandu Heritage Tour Itinerary

Welcome to Nepal, a representative from Regulus Nepal will be there at the Tribhuvan International airport to meet & greet you and transfer you to the hotel by private vehicle. You will be given a short briefing about the tour programs on the following day. In your free time, you can either take a rest or can walk around the local market & explore the Thamel area (the main tourist hub of Nepal). Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed on a full-day Kathmandu sightseeing tour to the UNESCO-listed world heritage sites. 

Swaymbhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world. It is located high on the hill giving an aerial view of Kathmandu valley. 

Kathmandu Durbar Square, popularly known as Hanuman Dhoka & Basantapur Durbar is an ancient Royal residential quarter. It is surrounded by spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries. The living goddess Kumari Devi & Mahadev Parvati Temple are the main attractions here.

Patan Durbar Square, an ancient Royal residential quarter where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided is located in the center of Patan (Lalitpur) city. The ancient palace, temples, and shrines, unique culture, finest display of craftsmanship & beautiful carvings are the main things to explore here in Patan. We will visit the main attractions- Krishna Temple, Bhimsen Temple, and the Golden Temple of Hiranya Varna. 

The Bauddhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia and is built on the ancient trade route to Tibet.

Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur is an attractive city with a fascinating local lifestyle preserved over centuries of isolation from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is home to a unique culture, artistic shrines, monuments, Nepalese handicrafts, paintings, & museums. Nayatapola, Dattatrayta and Pottery Square, Golden Gate, Lion Gate, Art Gallery, Statue of King Bhupindra, and fifty-five windowed Malla Palace are the main honors of Bhaktapur which we will explore during the visit. Depending on your choice, you also can opt to visit Nagarkot for a stunning sunset view from the Nagarkot view tower. Nagarkot – is situated 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2175 above sea level. Drive back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule our driver will be there at the hotel to pick you up 3 hrs before flight time & drop you at the Tribhuvan Internation airport for final departure.
