If your arrival is at appropriate time then you can enjoy leisurely walk in the streets of Thamel. It is a prime destination for foreigners. It is said that Kathmandu visit is incomplete without strolling in this part of the city. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
Day 2 Kathmandu sightseeing
Today you explore Kathmandu, also known as city of temples with our guide. Basically there are four major touring sites in Kathmandu. They are: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath Stupa and and Bouddhanath Stupa. And the main part is these all four sites are listed in World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will be introduced to your guide by Regulus. You can have good conversation with him regarding the upcoming trip. You can enjoy the night life of Thamel which completely depends on your wish. Overnight in Thamel.
Day 3 Kathmandu to Lukla (flight)/Trek to Phakding
Definitively the morning is good today as you will fly to Lukla enjoying scenic beauty of mountains. The harmonious mountain will capture your heart. It is around 30 minute flight from Kathmandu. There are lots of monasteries in Lukla and if interested you can visit there. We begin our trail on foot from here and it ends at Phakding for today. The team of porter guide will join you from here. The way to Phakding is so beautiful that you will remember it for rest of your life. Hills, green lush vegetation and streams will surely mesmerize you. We will put off at Phakding at night.
Day 4 Phakding to Namche Bazar
We follow the route of Dudh (Milk) Koshi River to arrive at Namche Bazaar. Crossing pine, fir and rhododendron forests we arrive at Monjo. The entrance to Sagarmatha National Park is Monjo. Furthermore, after walking for few more hours we reach Namche Bazaar where we put off tonight. Namche is a big market of Khumbu region. People of different ethnic group especially, Sherpa inhabit here.
Day 5 Acclimatize at Namche Bazar
Acclimatization means adjusting body temperature with increasing altitude in order to avoid altitude sickness. Altitude sickness can be severe so we take rest at some places. But, at the same time we also enjoy the day. Today we visit Khumjung. The monastery at this place lures many tourists as there you see skull of yeti. It takes three hours to reach here. We get back to Namche and spend night in the same tea house where we did put off earlier.
Day 6 Namche Bazar to Tengboche
It is uphill walk today but not that hard. in your every step you will enjoy Dudh Koshi River as the river flows below you. The way to Tengboche is really beautiful. You witness several animals and birds especially, Danphe (national bird of Nepal). Crossing Trashinga we arrive at Phunkitenga where we have our lunch. Trashinga to Phunkitenga is a descend walk. We now move upward and crossing pine and fir forests we reach Tengboche where we will spend our night. Tengboche is popular for a monastery which is a largest monastery of Khumbu region. You will pay visit here.
Day 7 Thyangboche – Pheriche
Day 8 Pheriche – Lobuche
Day 9 Lobuche – Kalapatthar & back to Lobuche
Day 10 Lobuche – Dingboche
Day 11 Dingboche – Chhukung
Day 12 Chhukung – Island peak (Imja Tse) Base Camp
Day 13 Island B.C – High Camp
Day 14 High Camp – Island Peak summit & back to Island B.C
Day 15 Island B.C. – Dingboche
Day 16 Dingboche – Thyangboche
Day 17 Thyangboche – Namche Bazaar
Day 18 Namche Bazaar – Lukla
Day 19 Lukla - Kathmandu by flight then transfer to Hotel
